The Mission of the Evergreen Camera Club is to promote the art of photography for people living in and around Evergreen Colorado by providing a forum where each member can contribute and learn from others.

MAY 13th Meeting - Susan Lange, Guest Speaker

Our May Monthly Meeting will feature another local Guest Speaker, Conifer H.S. Photography Teacher - Susan Lange. Susan's expertise includes black & white close-up landscapes, polaroid transfers, and working with toy cameras. Her Club Presentation will largely focus on B&W landscapes. Join us for an interesting evening - Tuesday, May 13th (6:30 social time, meeting follows) at Evergreen Fire Station #2 in Bergen Park. The Public is welcome!

May Assignment

The theme is "Architecture" and will play off of the "Doors Open Denver" Annual Event, our April (12th & 13th) Field Trip. Please go to www.DenverGov.Org/DoorsOpenDenver for a listing of subject bldgs. Members are asked to take "5 photos of any one building", creating a description of the building.. as seen thru their eyes. There should be a 'lead' picture when submitting, with an additional 4 photos. This will be the month's critique/competition entry, and we will once again resume the two Divisions (A=experienced; B=beginner).

Mentoring Session - April 22nd - Pat Gautier

Expanding on "Digital File Basics" the series continues, focusing this month on "Sharpening" in post-processing. Everyone is welcome. Always interesting, informative, and entertaining.. 7 PM (6:30 social time) at Evergreen Fire Station #2 in Bergen Park.

Denver Architecture Trip the Weekend of 4/12 - 4/13

In April we will be doing a Denver Architecture Trip the Wknd of 4/12-13. This Field Trip is timed to coincide with the Annual "Doors Open Denver" event, sponsored by the Denver A.I.A. (American Institute of Architects). Doors are open to buildings not always open to the Public, ranging from commercial bldgs to residential lofts, to cutting edge designs. More on how this field trip will be structured as we draw nearer and the property lists are made available.

April 8th Meeting - Photographer & Author Mike Strunk

Our Guest Speaker will be ECC Club Member Mike Strunk. Mike, a long-time Evergreen resident, has enjoyed a long career as an open space planner with the U.S. National Park Service and several consulting firms. An award-winning photographer, Mike has photographed open lands, ranches, and historic sites throughout the West for over 40 yrs. During this time, he has amassed more than 90,000 images in his personal archives.
