2008 Leadership Team

The photo competition will be structured much like international photo contests, with a panel of 3 judges rating each photo on its own merit. Points will be given based on composition, impact, and technique. The guidelines are published at: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/EvergreenCameraClub/files/

The winner of the Best Photo of the Year will receive a trophy and a $40 gift certificate from Timberline Gallery in Evergreen. The winners of the Experienced and Beginner will also each receive a trophy and a $20 gift certificate from the Timberline Gallery. Because the awards will be given out that night, attendance is necessary to win. The winner of the Best Photo of the Year will not be eligible for any other trophy/certificate.

Competition Rules

The rules of the competition are simple. Each person is allowed to submit 3 digital photographs to Brad Davidson that were taken, by you, this year, 2007. They need to be submitted BEFORE SUNDAY, December 9th and each photo must be less then 5 Meg in size, one photo per e-mail. You must verify that you receive a confirmation email from Brad. If you do not hear from him by Sunday noon, on December 9th, contact him. Obviously, the sooner you send them, the better it will be for everybody (Brad in particular). We expect a lot of entries, so please submit early. Entries will not be accepted the night of the competition!

It should be a fun evening and I am sure we will see some photos that have not been in the assigned subject competition during the year. I am also sure that the competition will be tough, so select your best shots! I am hoping the awards will be incentive enough to have 100% participation.
