January 8th Meeting – John Castor

by ecc

The Public is invited to attend the next “Evergreen Camera Club” Meeting when we will be pleased to have as our Guest Speaker, Foothill’s resident and photographer, John Castor. John’s interesting and extensive background has evolved into a lifestyle where he manages to place himself in areas and situations where taking great photos becomes natural and compelling. His extended travels to Alaska, the Yukon, Canadian Rockies, Glacier Park, as well as Wilderness areas of the Rocky Mtn West, all a Nature Photographer’s dream.

John has a second book nearing release, entitled “A Summer of Bears”. His first, released last holiday season, “A Summer With Houti” is a children’s style photo book about a family of Great Horned Owls with whom he spent a summer. John states his photographic intent… “To instill a sense of stewardship for our wild lands in the viewer, enabling us to work together protecting this special heritage.”
