JUNE 24, 2017 – WORKSHOP GIVEN BY JEFF JOHNSON – FINDING THE ART IN THE EVERYDAY

by ecc

Jeff Johnson, M/ Photog., Cr., CPP, F-PPColorado

Creating any photographic image is simply a process. From your initial pre-visualization, whether it is a concept you dreamt about or an “in the right place at the right time” situation, by the nature of photography, it is a process. From your initial exposure to hanging the finished framed print on your client’s wall your process is important and it needs to be consistent and taken seriously.

From walking the streets to that magical mountain sunrise landscape, there is quite a difference. Having that amazing scene in front of your camera offers you quite the opportunity to capture a great image. But how about the architecture, patterns, textures, shapes, shadows that we pass by every day and take for granted. Are they not art, too? I think so!

Join me for a full day of hands-on shooting and post-processing magic on June 24th in Evergreen from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Let’s meet in the parking lot across from the Little Bear in downtown Evergreen. We’ll start by photographing the eclectic downtown area and walk around town looking for the art in things and scenes that most folks just walk right by. After we break for lunch (bring a sack lunch or buy from several local groceries or restaurants), we’ll head to Lutheran Church of the Cross (28253 Meadow Dr., Evergreen) to enhance these images from the morning’s shoot. I will demonstrate several of the Lightroom and Photoshop techniques I use on my images including:
• Adjustment layers and masking
• Burning & Dodging
• Focus stacking
• Texture overlays
• More . . .

Normally ONLY $99

But . . . for the Evergreen Camera Club it’s only $85 with a minimum of 10 attendees. (Max 25).

Register through the Evergreen Camera Club Meetup: Evergreen Camera Club Photography.

Bring your camera, tripod (optional) and a laptop with a card reader and Lightroom and Photoshop installed if you wish to work on your images from the morning shoot.
