TIPS & TECHNIQUES MEETING SEPT. 23 7pm, 6;30 SOCIAL TIME – DAVID SMITH – TIPS ABOUT PRINTING

David Smith, ECC Member and owner of the Timberline Gallery in downtown Evergreen will present tips on printing. Items discussed will include; preparing files for optimal printing, cropping margins and cropping ratios, different print media, framing options and tips to help streamline the process.

John Wakefield has been a portrait photographer in Colorado for over 30 years. He has owned and operated Wakefield Photography, Inc., since 1982. He is past president of a four-state chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers. He has won several national awards for his work presented by the Professional Photographers of America.

September Assignment – Portraiture in a Natural Environment
Looking to John Wakefield’s website for inspiration, create your own portraits, using the endless backdrops found in your own neighborhoods and parks. John does a wonderful job using natural shapes and textures in composing an image – the settings tell a story, pull the eye in and help to define the space.
